This blog is about how you can develop your mind to have a happier and more productive life no matter what genes you have.

Everybody has positive and negative memories, emotions, habits, attitudes. The inner mind lacks critical critical thinking so it CAN NOT tell true from false. It thinks differently. Repeat it thinks differently. It weighs the positives and negatives and whichever is stronger wins out. For example: I can lose weight. I can't lose weight. In your mind you may have many negative memories about times you tried to lose weight and couldn't. Or negative family, work, health issues. You might have some strong negative eating habits.
You also have good memories and habits. If the negatives are stronger your inner mind will send you doubts, excuses, cravings for cookies, stress whatever to stop you from losing weight. If the positives are stronger your inner mind will send you strength, inspiration, determination to help you lose weight. It will do whatever it can to help. The desires and cravings go away.
The purpose of Self Hypnosis and Hypnosis is to add positives and remove negatives so that the positives are the stronger ones. You can then make changes and achieve goals in record time. Self Hypnosis is about the conscious mind learning how to take charge of the inner mind by adding positives, removing negatives plus providing direction.
HOW TO USE THIS BLOG
Blog entry: Read one a day. Anyone, In any order. If you are having temptations to eat cookies then do one of the temptation entries. On the right side of the blog are category archives: quit smoking, temptations. goals, Tapes, etc. For example click on quit smoking and the 8 entries on quit smoking will come up. Click on the one that interests you.
Tapes: So far there are 6 tapes. More to come. Two each on weight loss, quit smoking and a generic achieve your goal. In the category section on the right click on Tapes and download the ones you want. Two kinds: relax and outloud. For relax you need to sit or lie down in a quiet place or use headphones. For outloud you can listen while cooking, cleaning, driving, anytime anyplace.

I was born and raised in the Detroit area. I have a BS in Math from the University of Michigan 1968. I moved to California in 1970. I became a Hypnotist in 1983. My specialty is quit smoking.
